Naturalizer Spring 2012 Shoe Collection: A Review (& A Giveaway!!)

If there is one fashion lesson I have learned in my life, it is that fashion does not have to be painful.  There are others that would argue with that… but I’m here to tell you that you can look good and feel good.  Case in point:  the new Spring 2012 Collection from Naturalizer.  I jumped at the chance to review a new pair of kicks when I found out they were from Naturalizer.  Some of my very favorite dress shoes have been Naturalizers and they’ve lasted a long time…and were comfortable from the moment I put them on.

However, since I’ve been a work-from-home mom, I haven’t had much need for dress shoes and quite often find myself living in flip-flops or similar comfy shoes.  And Ariel’s never seen me wearing “fancy shoes”!

So imagine her surprise when I slipped on these beauties!!

These are the island-inspired Lulianna and they are not only beautiful but they’re so comfortable too.  From a flats-wearing momma to a high wedge sporting dancing-all-night-gal, I was ready to go!!  And I stayed ready to go.  My feet were so happy!  No pinching, no rubbing, lots of great cushioning—it was everything I could have dreamed a shoe could be.  And it was everything that I remembered my other Naturalizers being too.  Super comfy and instantly wearable.  No breaking them in.

I am so in love with these shoes and keep finding “events” to wear them to.  They are the kind of shoe I could wear to almost anything.  The colors are stunning and the design itself is so simple and elegant.  But, because I am normally a flats kind of a girl, I can’t just start wearing heels everywhere.  I need to save them for, erm, dinner dates and cocktail parties and special Sunday brunches.  Because, you know, if I start grocery shopping in my beautiful new Naturalizer wedge heels, I might not ever get dinner out again.

But, I’m thinking about adding some of the other shoes from the Naturalizer Spring 2012 Shoe Collection to my wardrobe… some flats…. and they would make grocery shopping quite a bit more of a party than it already is.    (yes, Publix is wonderful… but shopping in some of these Naturalizer styles would make it so much better!)
